Leslie and Jessie Kimminau are working diligently on scheduling an event in the Tuscon/Casa Grand area this spring... YAY!  Thanks Leslie! The Southern Arizona Horsemen s Association is eager to participate.

Becky Stockett has graciously offered her new place in Scottsdale for winter practices too... we can't wait to visit her and see the new facility, and set some dates!
 
 
Bob Schubbe is planning a School 'Em and Fool 'Em competition at his place on a Saturday in January, he has room for 10 entries.  If he has enough interest he will add Sunday also for another 10.  Bob is asking that you e-mail him with dates that will work, he is available any weekend in January, he will sort through dates and find the weekend that will work best for most everyone.  E-Mail: Bob Schubbe
 
 
We have provided all the required information to the National NVRHA office and the board will consider our affiliate status at the next board meeting in October.  We need to work out our organization program and set dates for our events next year.  Please contact me if you are interested in helping and let me know what areas you are most interested in.
 
 
Due to a chain reaction of events we are unable to keep the October date at Anchor Cross Ranch.  We are rescheduling the event for November 7 & 8, mark your calendars I will be sending out information with in the week.  If you have any questions please e-mail or call.
 
 
Wednesday September 23rd the Caravan left for the finals.  We took 8 horses, some to compete and a help horse.  Bob Grant, Kim McElroy, Donna Jensen, Kandy Banks, Barry Guillet and myself went to compete.  Dave Pawel was hired as cow boss for the weekend.  We had a great time!! Learned a lot and had some success.  I will be updating the website and sending an article to Bridle and Bit. 
 
 

At this time there are approximately 10-15 AZ Versatility members traveling to Moriarty NM on June 26-28 to participate in the clinic and competition.  NRCHA World Champion Blue Allen, Alamosa CO and Joby Priest NMSU Equine Science instructor and multiple World Champion along with Clint Mortensen, Santa Fe, NM will be conducting the clinics
